Father's Day

Emma started out Father's Day morning making cookies in her kitchen for Daddy, Winnie the Pooh, and Mini Mouse with Wombat there to supervise. Donald was so pleased and touch by Emma's constant thoughtfulness and sharing, even though it was Winnie the Pooh that got the chocolate cookie, because he likes chocolate ones the best according to Emma.

Unfortunately for Donald, he has been fighting a bit of a cold, but that didn't stop him and us from doing the Litzenberg family tradition on fathers day and going to the Del Mar Fair.

After a very yummy breakfast made by Grandma, Donald, Emma, Aunt Andra, Kevin and me all piled into the 5 and headed to the fair with Grandma and Grandpa close behind. We started with the animals, Emma and Daddy were looking forward to feeding their favorite cows

Then it was pony ride time. I insisted that daddy do the first lap of the pony ride with Emma so I could get a few cute shots of them and another fun souvenir photo of the two of them at the end.

Then we wondered through the halls of vendors and got new shower heads that filter the water so it's better for your skin and hair. I know Emma and my sensitive skin will be grateful in the end for the healthier shower water.

Emma and Aunt Andra and Uncle Kevin had to stop and take break at the rocking lounge chairs.
then Emma wanted to cuddle daddy on one.
We can't seem to pass the carousel without Emma asking to ride and Grandma was there all to happy to indulge Emma.

We stopped by the Geico booth one more time, and Emma got a hat! Donald was desperate to wear it to protect his head from the sun, but Emma didn't want to give it up.

Before heading home we just had to do the picture booth. I just love these and we had never done one with Emma. So in we crammed in and had a blast! I love these photos! On the way home Emma fell fast asleep. She has had such an exciting two weeks that she just couldn't stay awake one more minute.
Daddy loves to get in those sleepy cuddles
After Emma was up from her nap, the three of us laid in bed together and gave Daddy his father's day gifts. This year we spoiled daddy a bit and got him a fabulous Louis Vuitton wallet. It's a dark black and is very elegant. While I was purchasing the wallet they had an gorgeous illustrated journal of London in the store so I had to get that for Daddy too. The lady nicely packaged the items in lovely LV boxes which looked so smart for a mans gift. Emma and I had also gotten Daddy some very stately Father's day cards that were letter pressed one saying "to my hero on fathers day" with a knights helmet and the other "To the King of our Castle" with a crown. We are so lucky to have such an amazing man in our lives. Donald gives us all his love and care and truly enjoys every minute he spends with us. To the great love our lives... Happy Fathers Day Donald!!
