Dress Rehearsal

I know it's been almost a month since my last post, but please keep in mind that if I am not posting I am just way to busy to grab a spare moment to do so. I am going to start back at the beginning of the month as I don't want any of my loyal blog readers to miss out on any Emma action.
I got the dress on Etsy!!

Emma's Aunt Andra got married this month and Emma was asked to be the flower girl. So after a long night at the Airport picking up family from Illinois, Scotland, and England, then a fun day out with all relatives it was time for a dress rehearsal.

Of course rocks really fascinate my little girl as does anything water related so the fountain outside the gates to the wedding site was a big hit

It was time to go practice going down the walk way, but Emma sprinted down which made me worry what she might do at the wedding only two nights away.
After all the excitement of the rehearsal, Michael treated her to some wonderful mint water at the Sheraton before we were off to dinner in Little Italy.

Emma wasn't in the mood to sit at dinner as Kevin's 3 nieces were there and all wanted to do is play. So after I was over ruled by everyone I finally gave up and let Emma up on the stage to do a few cheers. I couldn't even watch let alone take any photos, so Donald did the dirty work. I must say she did have a lot of fun and worked up a good appetite for dinner.

Halloween

Emma's second Halloween was loads of fun. We went to Grandma and Grandpa's house in RB, enjoyed being with Auntie Andra and Uncle Kevin too. We had a wonderful dinner, then it was off to see all the neighbors.

Donald grew up in this neighborhood so we know lots of the people which makes it fun taking Emma around. Grandma went to a few of the special houses with us. Then we were off to see all the spooky decorations. We only went looking as Emma not even 2 yet is way too young for all that candy. She loved it and didn't feel like she was missing out at all. She loved going up to people's houses and checking out all the pumpkins, decorations and other kids. When offered candy we politely declined and people gave us other things instead. From gummy bears, to free kids meals at restaurants, to play-doh. The streets were packed with loads of tricker-treaters, and some amazing costumes. Most parents were in costume which made me feel like we should have done more. We saw a really cool space bug on stilts, bands playing on front lawns, and loads of parents sitting out front watching the parade of happy faces going by.

So glad that Donald and Mike wore their matching BRIGHT orange Lacoste shirts. No one was going to miss seeing us coming. Emma got loads of compliments on her costume too. Everyone guessed right away that she was little Bo Peep and all wanted to admire her.
Emma got to stay up way past her 7:00 bedtime till almost 9:00. She walked at least 1/2 a mile and was so tired that she slept in to almost 8:00 the next morning, and then was in bed for nap 15 minutes early as she was still so exhausted.
