Tuesday Book Review

Come Play With Me Books

Emma, Donald and I have already had hours of enjoyment from these wonderful books. A come play with me books series that is interactive, fun, and educational. We have the Colors and Numbers books and since the day we purchased them at the Pottery Barn for Kids, they have been a huge hit!. At 18 months Emma can count up to 10 and knows her basic colors. I know that we have these books to thank for such early comprehension of these words. Each page has a puzzle piece that pops out and has pictures behind it. We pull out each "puzzle piece" as we go and then start back at the beginning having Emma match which piece goes on which page. It's great fun and she has gotten very good at it!

Nevada

I was thrilled that we got to see my sister last weekend in Nevada. It was wonderful to see her up and about and looking so good after such a battle with her health. We had a quick trip out just past Vegas for a one night stay and then back home again. But it was so much fun. We took Mike with us too. Emma had a blast with her Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Linette, Uncle Gabe, and cousins Victoria, and Sara, and they all had fun with her too. Mike was great as always from helping with the bean to the road trip and we had lots of laughs all the way there and back.

Emma's White Bows

Ooo La La
I love putting bows in Emma's hair! So when I did her hair up in pigtails and only had one white bow, I went straight for my ribbon collection and cut out two strips and tied them in bows. The outcome as you can see is simply adorable!

Tuesday Book Review

I think The Book Title says it all! But I still have a bit more to add :)

After almost a year of seeing this book for sale in Anthropologie (a favorite clothing store for mommy), Donald decided to purchase it for me. Inside is packed with loving ideas to create years of joy in a family life. From watching the sun rise with your children to teaching them how to change a tire this book is packed with practical and heart felt ideas. Again a must for any family. This is a quick fun read and guide meant to be an active book you don't let sit and collect dust, but actually do. It was quite fun sitting around one night with my mom and dad while they were visitng going over all the things we did, or did a slight modify version of what the book mentions. It brought back years of happiness, and I am so looking forward to the day that I am able to send my Emma off into the world knowing Donald and I provied so much joy too!

Grandpa and Grandma Visit

After a few busy weeks with Grandpa and Grandpa visiting it's time to blog and catch everyone up. But first a few images of my very British bird. Notice the lovely Burberry rain hat with the very obvious non matching top. Does it get any more British??
Grandma and Grandpa arrived late the first night so it wasn't until the morning that they got a good does of their little love. After 6 months of loads of change in our Emma Grandpa got stuck in and busy before I even had a chance to get her dressed for the day. Emma was over the moon with her new playmates. Emma just couldn't wait to share all her toys.
After much work on mommy's part, I was able to get some clothes on Emma and Grandma was there to add finishing touches.
And after loads of fun all morning and a refreshing nap Emma was ready to take Grandpa and Grandma to the park for a bit of fun. How can you go wrong with a lovely lady bug ball, loads of space to run and things to climb on with Grandpa willing to do it all!!
